The Great American Songbook

Following highly successful evenings with Berlin, Porter, Kern and Gershwin, Fife’s premier operatic concert group Ensemble, returns for a 26th August successive year with a programme dipping into the Great American Songbook. Defined roughly as the era between the 1920s and 1950s, the Great   American   Songbook   describes   the   most influential popular songs from musical theatre and Hollywood musicals. Hits include Blue Skies, S’Wonderful, Summertime, Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and Night and Day.
