Christian Aid Sale

The  famous “Christian Aid Book Sale” takes over St Andrew’s and St George’s West for a week every May.

100,000 books of every kind fill the Sanctuary and both courtyards. But there’s much more than books … upstairs in the gallery you’ll find sheet music (and more books!) downstairs in the Undercroft Café you’ll find a gallery of pictures as well as delicious homebaking and food to sustain you. Head through to the Davidson Room hidden at the back of the church and you’ll find a treasure store of antiques and collectables. And did we mention toys, records, stamps, postcards and ephemera?

All the money we raise goes to Christian Aid to help create a better world.  Since the Sale started in 1975 we have been able to raise over £2m for the work of Christian Aid.

Here are our 2015 opening times:

Saturday 9 May 10am-4pm

Sunday 10 May  closed

Monday 11 May  10am -3.30pm

Tuesday 12 May  10am-3.30pm

Wednesday 13 May 10am -3.30pm

Thursday 14 May  10am – 7pm late opening

Friday 15 May 10am-3.30pm (antiques, toys and records until 1.30pm)
