Our popular lunchtime Music and Reflection returns for four weeks in Autumn, with the theme of Composers’ Lives and Music. Enjoy music performed by incredibly talented Edinburgh music graduates,  and learn a little of the composer’s life in a short talk.

TimCaisMusician Tim Cais – Violoncello

A graduate of the Reid School of Music (University of Edinburgh), Tim leads a busy musical life. He began playing the cello at an early age, and has since played with a wide variety of ensembles. He has given successful recital series’ across Edinburgh, and continues to perform regularly, both as a soloist, and as a chamber/orchestral musician. Tim plays a cello by Noel Sweetman (2000).

 

 

 

Chris_HardingAccompanist: Chris Harding

Chris Harding is a freelance accompanist based in Edinburgh. He is currently the Associate accompanist to the National Youth Choir of Scotland, an accompanist for Edinburgh Napier University and répétiteur to Scottish Opera’s ‘Encouraging New Opera’ project in Scotland’s Festival of New Music. Recent work includes working for the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Edinburgh International Festival, Edinburgh University as the Graduate Associate Accompanist and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland at the Aberdeen International Youth Festival.
