At St Andrew’s and St George’s West, (now Edinburgh New Town Church) we believe in putting our faith into practice.This exhibition portrays our activities and initiatives. Some are outpourings of our faith, some are spiritual, some appear purely practical, some are designed to increase our understanding of God. They all deepen our understanding of what it means to be Christian in the 21st century.
Art throughout the year…
Highlights on the calendar are the annual sales of pictures to raise funds for Christian Aid. The sale in May is part of a huge book sale while the October sale combines paintings donated by local artists with a sale of Scottish books.
Charities are encouraged to show campaigning and creative work. Recent exhibits include International Justice Mission, Christian Aid, Amnesty International and the Mamie Martin Fund.
